  • Professor Frederick Marks

    Professor Frederick Marks, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, Six Sigma Green Belt, has been a licensed architect for more than 30 years with a planning and design specialty in healthcare and laboratory science facilities.

    He holds degrees in architecture and business administration with a major in real estate and urban land economics.

    Professor Marks is a founding Board member of the Academy of Neuroscience for Architecture (ANFA) and has served as its Chief Operating Officer and past-president. 

  • Professor Derek Clements-Croome

    Professor Derek Clements-Croome, founder of the CIBSE Intelligent Buildings Group, worked in the building design and contracting industry before entering university life. He has founded and directed courses at Loughborough University in 1970 and an interdisciplinary MSc in Intelligent Buildings at Reading University in 1996 covering design and management of intelligent buildings.

    He edits and founded the Intelligent Buildings International Journal published by Taylor and Francis and is a Coordinator of CIB Commission W098 Intelligent and Responsive Buildings.
